MARTIN McCLOSKEY

Martin has served for over twenty years as a Director in ten jurisdictions on the Boards of more than thirty companies owned by the UK’s largest outsourcing services provider.
Martin served as Group Legal Counsel for a FTSE top fifty company, leading more than fifty mediations and other Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) processes to resolve differences with clients, suppliers and third parties.
Over 90% of disputes personally handled were successfully resolved - mediation works.
Martin has directly managed a wide range of public and private sector organisations in client and supplier roles, providing business process outsourcing services, software development, systems integration and information technology.
Martin has been responsible for strategic direction and management of service delivery, legal and commercial services and corporate governance of UK and overseas companies, including alternative business structure law firms. Procurement assignments for intangible services and products were also part of the management portfolio.
Overseas assignments have included integration and growth of business acquisitions in India and Poland, plus the creation and operational management of a start-up multi-client shared service centre.
During previous roles, Martin had twelve years’ experience working in UK local government including five years as client services manager for a large unitary authority. Prior to local government service, Martin worked internationally for a world-wide fast moving consumer products group.
Outside of work commitments Martin is a chair of finance for a local charity and a trustee for a large charitable trust.

With 7 years’ experience as a Group Board Director of a FTSE top 50 company operating in forty countries, Vic has considerable strategic level experience of company governance, dispute resolution and the turnaround of projects and companies that would otherwise require onerous contract provision to be made due to known losses being forecast.
Vic is available for the identification of pathways to get trading companies “back on track” by review of revenue and expenditure and by trading to restore financial and operational viability.
He can support senior level negotiation with internal or external stakeholders, clients and third party suppliers to identify improvements in the mutuality of key relationships.
Vic is available for short and medium term assignments to resolve differences between parties before they reach the intractable stage or the point when mediation or litigation appears imminent.
